Anna Langdon Obituary

Published by Legacy on Sep. 29, 2025.
Anna Aline Langdon (George) always loved a happy ending! Whether she was watching a Hallmark movie (and there were many) or a happily-ever-after Disney movie surrounded by her children, grandchildren, or great grandchildren, that's when Anna's heart was smiling. On September 18, 2025 at the age of 88, Anna's happy ending was complete as she was ushered into heaven to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Born in London, Kentucky on February 16, 1937 to Ernest Paul George and Bertha Anderson George (Jones), Anna was the baby to an older sister, Reba Chiles, and brother, Ray George, both deceased. After graduating from Hamilton High School in Hamilton Ohio, she attended Georgetown College studying art. She was a red-haired beauty who loved fast cars, pretty shoes, and home-grown tomatoes. She met and married Ledford Langdon before completing college and started her family raising three girls while working in accounting for a major corporation.

Even as a busy working mom, she made sure family and friends were a priority. Boating, camping, card playing, and golf were activities that led to lots of laughs and fond memories. After retiring, Led and Anna moved to Somerset Kentucky, where she attended and served at Quinton Road Baptist Church. Not liking the cold, they became snowbirds gathering with friends in Sebring, Florida. Eventually Anna landed in northwest Florida where she enjoyed her final years with three generations of family. To us she was Mom, Grandma and Gigi always finding ways to love and support her family. Attending Midway Baptist Church in Gulf Breeze, Anna continued to strengthen her relationship with Jesus.

Beloved wife of the late Ledford Langdon, Anna was a loving mother to Kara Vaughn of Somerset KY, Annetta Johnson (Steve Eyman), Gulf Breeze, FL, and Lynda Lehman (Russell) of Hamilton, OH, as well as having 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Anna will be forever missed yet never forgotten. She will be remembered by her family and friends whom she fiercely loved; her strength, grace, and love remain an everlasting source of comfort. The family will privately honor Anna's life and memories as they are able to gather.
