Anna Lothridge Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory on Jun. 27, 2024.
It is with great sadness we announce that on June 26, 2024, Marie Lothridge passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. She was born in St. Johnsbury, VT on April 1, 1959, to the late Eugene Talmadge and Allis Marcene Crump. She was a born-again Christian and is survived by her loving husband James "Jimmy" Lothridge and daughter April (Jason) Forbes. Grandchildren: Amber (Chris), Blake (Sarah), Tyler (Hannah), Olivia (Brandon). Great-Grandchildren: Harper Grace and a baby girl arriving in December. There will be a private celebration of life visitation soon. Contact Jimmy or April for details.
Marie had a personality that was larger than life and you never had any doubt how she felt about any situation. She loved big and made it a point to regularly tell those close to her that she loved them. Her dry sense of humor and quick wit made for some great and entertaining memories. Marie was one of those rare people who was authentically herself. One of the many things that she loved to do was to travel with Jimmy. She always said she was so blessed to be married to her best friend. Their travels began years and years ago on a Honda Goldwing motorcycle. Over time they accumulated over 90,000 miles and touched all 48 continental states, 6 providences of Canada, and Mexico. After retiring the Goldwing, they began to go camping throughout Georgia with their dearest group of friends. Marie was happiest when there was a trip to get prepared for. When she wasn't on the road, you could find her relaxing at home working on jigsaw puzzles or curled up with a good book. Monthly visits to the nail salon with her best friend Carolyn was a pampering she always looked forward to even though she chose the exact same color every single time. Her family was the sparkle in her big blue eyes. She would swell with pride whenever she spoke about any of them. Family gatherings were always a highlight to her, making her way around collecting hugs. She cherished her daughter and adored talking about her grandchildren, filling everyone in on all that they were doing.
"If only we could know the reason why they went We'd wipe away the tears and smile And wait content." – Unknown
If you would like to do something in honor of Marie, the family asks that you make a donation to cancer research.
