Anna May Geipel Pieger, 63, of Orange, beloved wife of Robert G. Pieger II, passed away on December 21, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Loving mother of Nicole (Anthony) Roig of Copper City, FL; Nicholas Vasil of Cape Coral, FL; and the late Christopher J. Vasil. Stepmother of Jennifer (Harrison) McClain of Hamden, Nina (Frank) Pieger Valenti of Trumbull and Abigail (fiancé John) Pieger of Littleton, MA. Sister of the late Charlene M. Geipel. Anna May was born in New Haven on September 17, 1961 daughter of the late Charles and Mary Machulskis Geipel. Prior to her retirement, Anna May was employed by the IRS as a Revenue Agent for 38 years. She served as the President of the American Legion Unit 127, and was a member of the Memorial Day Committee.
Family and friends may call at the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 830 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven THURSDAY from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM and are asked to go Directly to St. Barbara's Greek Orthodox Church in Orange FRIDAY for Services at 10:00. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Legion Women's Auxiliary Unit 127, 137 Porter Lane, Orange, CT 06477.

I knew Anna May at work in Bridgeport. I also had contact with her at the American Legion. She was always so lively. While unable to make the visitation or service, I send my sympathies to her loved ones. Marian Hurley, Orange
