Anna Elise McQueary

ROCKVILLE – Anna Elise McQueary, 86, of Rockville, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Union Hospital Clinton. She was born October 14, 1938, in Kutnau, Bohemia, to the late Franz Ritcher and Josephine Sitka Ritcher. On April 30, 1960, she married Melburn Ray McQueary, her husband of 64 years, who preceded her in death on June 21, 2024.
Anna was a homemaker who found joy in caring for her family. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockville, where she nurtured her faith and her community. Anna had a love for gardening and crochet, often creating beauty with her hands.
She is survived by her son, Charles (Mary) McQueary of Rockingham, Virginia, and her daughter, Linda McQueary of Rockville. Anna was a proud grandmother to Christin McQueary and Eric McQueary and a beloved great-grandmother to Aiden Canbulat and Everett Canbulat.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael McQueary.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Rockville Cemetery, with Father Joby Puthussery officiating. Burial will follow.
