Anna M. (Montagna) "Mamie" Nardella, of Port Charlotte Florida, formerly of Winchester and Somerville passed away peacefully on Sunday July 21, 2024 at home with her family by her side.
Anna, Mamie to all her Massachusetts friends, dropped out of school in the 8th grade to go to work as a stitcher of clothing. She continued that job for many years into marriage. She was able to work from home and raise her family as well. Late in life she went to work for the city of Somerville school system which she retired from. When she was 96 years old she moved to Florida for some rest and relaxation.
Mamie loved her family. She loved when they would visit on Sunday's. Especially the new born babies. she was thrilled that one of her great great granddaughters was named Anna after her. Her 2nd love was Bingo, She played until she was 103! And she won! She liked to look her best, going to the beauty parlor every week to look beautiful. Her wonderful smile will be missed by all.
Anna is the beloved wife of the late Louis A. Nardella. She is the loving mother of Rosalie Evangelista and her husband Fernando, Mary Lou Donlan and her husband John and the late Cosmo Nardella and Luanne Barile. Cherished grandmother of David Nardella, Coreen Swales, Jack Donlan, John Evangelista, Ralph Barile, Kevin Barile and the late Lisa Splaine and Louis Nardella. Great grandmother of 17 and great great grandmother of 4. Dear sister of Anthony Montagna and the late Rose Granada and Louise Cloutier. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with her family on Saturday August 3rd, 2024 in the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM from 9 am to 11 am followed by a Funeral Service Celebrating Mamie's Eternal Life at 11 am. Parking attendants and elevator available. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
