Daniel Dawe Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Carrier Family Funeral Home & Crematory - Windham on Jan. 22, 2026.
Daniel J. Dawe of Londonderry, NH, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Bedford Hills Center, in Bedford, NH, with his family by his side. He was born on May 4, 1952, to the late Reginald and Lois (Geswell) Dawe in Stoneham, MA.

Daniel, who most often went by Dan, graduated from Belmont Senior High School in 1970. Dan enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1971 where he honorably served the country he loved. In 1973, he married the love of his life, Patricia, with whom he shared over 50 years of marriage. Together they became long time residents of Derry, NH where they ultimately settled to raise their family.

Dan was a simple man who never asked for much. He was intelligent, fiercely independent, and extremely quick witted if you were fast enough to catch it. Whenever you needed him, Dan was always there.

Throughout his career in accounting, Dan had the opportunity to travel throughout the United States to carry out his duties. Dan was also a huge New England sports fan and enjoyed weekends at home watching all of the games. Being a father and a grandfather were two of his greatest joys in life. Spending time with his family and grandchildren always brought a smile to his face. If you were to ask him his biggest accomplishment, Dan would have told you it was his family. Dan leaves behind a legacy that, more than anything, embodies the value of family first.

Dan is survived by his children: Daniel P. Dawe, of Londonderry, NH, Kerrin Harrison, and her husband Paul, of Derry, NH, and Jeffrey Dawe, and his wife Carissa, of Sandown, NH; his siblings: Brian Dawe, and his wife Marilyn, and Sharon Wilson, and her husband Dan; his grandchildren: London, Lucas, Aria, Dawson, and Elise; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Dan is predeceased by his loving wife of many years: Patricia (Doran) Dawe.

Friends and family are invited to Calling Hours on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, from 4-7 PM, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. The Funeral Service will be private to the family. Interment will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery, Derry, NH. To leave an online message of condolence, please visit: www.carrierfuneralhome.com.
