Anna Minna Nelson, 81, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away at her home with her husband by her side on May 16, 2025. She was born in Kewaunee on December 17, 1943, to Gustav and Emma (Kempfert) Mueller. On June 17, 2000, she married Gerald "Jerry" Nelson at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Luxemburg.
Anna worked for 43 years at Mirro Corp in Manitowoc and retired in 2003. She was a life-time member of the Northeastern Wisconsin Antique Power Assoc. and in 2018, she was named the member of the year. Anna enjoyed traveling when she was younger to Germany.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald of 25 years, three of Jerry's children, Ricky (Julie) Nelson, Chris (Tom) Kay, Dan (Cyndi) Nelson; step grandchildren, Ryan Nelson, Jonathan Kay, Angela (Jason) Perlewitz, Addisyn Nelson, Ellaina Nelson; great-step-grandchildren, Olivia and Claire Perlewitz; two brothers, Paul Mueller, David (Nancy) Mueller; two sisters, Ruth Siegmund, Lois (Lyle) Siegmund; two brothers-in-law, Leland (Agnes) Nelson, Christiann A. den Heijer; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Brungraber, Barbara Obernberger; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Eileen Mueller, Verna (Gary) Bonesio; three brothers-in-law, John Siegmund, Daniel Obernberger Gary Brungraber; and a sister-in-law, Mary Ann (Dennis) Magle.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2025, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay with Rev. Carl Schroeder officiating. Burial will be in Schumacher Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Unity Hospice or St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
