Anna Lavoria Newman

Anna Lavora Moree Newman, 94, of Levelland passed from this life on April 4,2024. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024, in the Krestridge Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.

She was born October 14, 1929, in Clarendon to John Howard Moree, Sr. and Mary Marie Upton Moree. She married Marvin Elwin Newman in Big Lake on December 8, 1947. Anna was a homemaker, a poet and loved to travel. She served in the ministry in her home for 40 years, sending Bibles and Bible studies throughout the world including a prison ministry in the United States. Her happiest times were spent with her family and doing the work of the Lord.

Anna is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Moree; husband, Marvin Newman; sister, Lafon Flowers; brother, John Howard Moree Jr.; grandson, Clifford Lane Armes and granddaughter, Kimber Le Armes.

Those left to honor and  cherish her memory include her children, Vikki Armes (Boogie), Steve Newman (Billie) and Terri Caldwell (Don); sister, Shirley Janzen; grandchildren, Shelli Armes, Linc Armes, Christi Steele, Steven Newman, Jenifer Bridges, Jonathan Newman, Todd Caldwell, Cameron Caldwell and Toby Caldwell; great grandchildren, Anna Armes, Abbi Armes, Marlee Armes, Emma Armes, Maci Armes, Nathan Armes, Seth Armes, Christopher Barker, Branson Steele, Bethani Steele, Hayli Steele, Daniel Jungmayer, Karley Newman, Baylee Newman, MacKenzie Newman, Amyah Newman, Jaydon Bridges, Tyler Bridges, Shyia Lomax, Justice Newman, Tessa Bedassa, Charlie Bo Caldwell and Amelia Caldwell along with her great, great grandchildren, Trey, Rowan, Mattew, Arizona, Paisley, Bentlee and Brayleigh.
