On August 20, 2022, Anna Osso, 70, passed away at Trustbridge Hospice in Delray Beach, FL.
Anna was born on July 23rd,1952 to Francesco & Mafalda (Curatolo) Osso. She attended New Utrecht High School and graduated Brooklyn College with her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1974.
Anna was a child of the 60's. She adored her wine and enjoyed reading, listening to her vast music collection, traveling around the world, relaxing at the beach, and cherishing the cinema.
She loved animals and had several pets through the years. Anna had a multitude of friends. She maintained lifelong friendships from her childhood and forged new ones all throughout her life. She was a true friend and a joker at heart. Many close friendships developed from her years working in the film industry.
Anna worked in the film industry for 40 years. In 2016, she retired from Fox Searchlight as the East Coast Sales Manager. Anna had a strong work ethic and she was well respected by her colleagues. Her line of work allowed her to meet many celebrities. However, Anna's most revered encounter was with Bob Dylan while a college student. He took an interest in her and she had no idea who he was. Eventually, she became his biggest fan.
Her true grit was evident in her battle with lung cancer. Anna fought the cancer and its effects with courage & strength. She never let it affect her spirit.
After living in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn for most of her life, Anna, her partner Terrence Dunne, and their pup Otis, moved to Delray Beach in the summer of 2019. While living in Delray Beach her last few years, she built a beautiful home and lovely life with Terry & Otis. She enjoyed the lake and the birds from the comfort of her lanai.
When news of her death reached her family, friends, and colleagues, words they used to describe her truly sum up her persona: wonderful, special, gem of a human, remarkable, strong, resilient, loving, full of life, tough, caring, kind, witty, amazing, a ray of light, one of a kind, and my own adjective- rockstar. Above all, she was a loving daughter, sister, sister-in-law, and a doting Aunt to her family. She made a lasting impact on all who loved her. She was our rock, our north Star, and she will be forever missed.
Anna was predeceased by her father Frank, mother Mafalda & sister Marie. She is survived by her sister Diana D'Iorio (Osso) and her husband John, brother-in-law Ray Cullen, nephews & nieces Daniel Longhi, Melissa Livshultz (Longhi), Jenna D'Iorio, Matthew D'Iorio & Olivia D'Iorio, several cousins and partner Terrence Dunne.
