Anna Katherine Patterson

Anna Katherine Jones Patterson was born April 9, 1947, to Owen and Ann Jones in Nashville, TN. Anna grew up in Nashville where she attended Hillsboro High School. She was very popular at Hillsboro where she became a cheerleader and was voted the home coming queen for the sophomore class. Upon graduation she attended Memphis State University and Western Kentucky University while working in the blood lab at Vanderbilt Hospital. Anna met Gil, her future husband, in Nashville in 1968 and they married on November 30, 1968. They stayed happily married for 57 years.
Anna was brave enough to go to Saudi Arabia with her husband and three young children in1979. While in Saudi Arabia they traveled around the Far East, visiting Bahrain, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Mania, Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Cario. Many pictures of kids riding camels and elephants were taken.
After two years overseas, Anna and her family returned to the States, however, the traveling did not stop there. Anna moved with her family to Jacksonville, FL and after five years moved to Huntsville, AL where they remained.
Anna passed away on October 23, 2025, from bone cancer. She was a shining light to all who knew her, and she will be missed.
Go now Anna with Jesus and the angels, pain free at last, where we will meet again some day.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home.
