Anna Marie Martin Pluth, 82, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on October 29, 2025.

Anna was born on September 15, 1943, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to Gebhard and Virginia C. (Hoffer) Martin. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1962. She received Bachelor of Arts in Education, minoring in Spanish, from Southeast Missouri State University in 1966. Anna loved traveling, so she studied abroad in Spain and Mexico with fond memories of staying with her host families. She also traveled through Germany to visit her father's family, meeting aunts, uncles, and many cousins.

Anna moved to St. Louis and began her teaching career. She loved her summers off, when she continued to travel, cook new recipes, and host her nieces and nephews. Anna met the love of her life, Bernard Joseph Pluth, Jr., and they were married on June 24, 1972, in St. Louis. They had two sons, Martin Joseph Pluth (Marty) and Bernard Joseph Pluth III (Ben).

Anna, Bernie, Marty, and Ben moved to Columbus, Ohio, in 1982 for Bernie's work. Anna balanced motherhood and teaching, first with the Westerville South School District and retiring later from the Franklin County Board of Education where she worked in special education. Anna was a member of St. Brenden Catholic for over 40 years. She was also an avid Ohio State University football fan.

Anna is survived by her loving son, Ben and his fiancé Amanda DiPaolo of Columbus, and daughter-in-law Melissa Schwickerath Pluth. She is also survived by a brother Gilbert Martin (Patricia) of O'Fallon, Missouri, sister-in-law Cathy Martin, of Carlinville, Illinois, and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband Bernie of 29 years (2001), her son Martin (2021), and her brothers Charles (2009) and Jerome (2021).

Visitation will be from 12:00PM-2:00PM & 4:00PM-6:00PM on Tuesday, November 4th, 2025, at the O.R. WOODYARD Co. Funeral Home, 2990 Bethel Road, Columbus, OH 43220. Services will be held at 11:00AM at St. Brenden's Catholic Church on November 5th, 2025, 4475 Dublin Rd, Hilliard, OH 43026.
