Anna Rath Obituary

On July 16, 1939, she married Ernest Rath and they moved to a farm near Long Lake. They became parents to two children - Donald and Colleen. In 1970, Anna and Ernest moved from the farm and into Long Lake. She remained a resident of Long Lake until 2013 when she moved to the Ashley Medical Center Nursing home.
Anna had a love for gardening, canning, quilting, embroidering, and crocheting. She also enjoyed many years of playing pinochle and attending polka fests with her friends in Long Lake. Anna's door was always open for friends and relatives to stop by and "lunch something" any day of the week.
Grateful for having shared her life are her children: Donald (Randeen) Rath of Glasgow, MT and Colleen (Lance) Gill of Center, ND. Anna had four grandchildren and four great grandchildren: Erick (Shelley) Rath of Rapid City, Brad Rath of Glasgow, MT, Megan (Mark) Berkley of Minneapolis, MN, Matthew Gill of Center, ND, Brittni (Jacob) Reichert of Rapid City, Katianne (Adam) Brubakken of Okinawa, Eleena Rath of Rapid City and Sebastian Berkley of Minneapolis. She is also survived by a sister, Lorraine Ernster of Las Vegas, NV.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents John and Christina Rall, husband Ernest Rath, sister Viola Schumacher and brothers Edwin Rall, Clarence Rall, Oscar Rall and Elmer Rall.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
Services are in care of Carlsen-Lien Chapel of Ashley.

Anna is deeply missed by me. She was always so kind. She loves her strawberry drink we gave her at meals and loved her coloring. She would color the calendars and do such s good job!! God gained another angel with Anna. She was such a special lady.
