Anna Marie Rella

Anna Marie "Mamie" (nee Budano) Rella, 92, of Edison died on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Brighton Gardens in Edison.
Born in New York City on February 17, 1933, she resided in Metuchen for 30 years before moving to Point Pleasant 25 years ago. She worked Security at JC Penny in Both Menlo Park and Woodbridge Malls. Mamie loved to cook and feed her family and especially spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Rella (2013); and her brother, Thomas Budano.
She is survived by her two sons Dominick and his wife Sue of Iselin, Anthony, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Robbinsville; her daughter, Jean Vick and her husband Bill of South Plainfield; seven grandchildren, Anthony and his wife Yessica, Sean and his wife Alissa, Dominick and his wife Alyssa, Joseph, Michael, Nina and Benjamin; five great-grandchildren, Justin, Zoe, Grayson, Owen, and Brayden; and her cousin, Anne-Marie Aguirre.
The visitation is on Monday, April 21, 2025 from 4 to 8pm at the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Avenue, Metuchen.
The funeral will take place on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 9:15am from the Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10am at Sacred Heart Church, South Plainfield; interment is at Hillside Cemetery in Metuchen.
