Anna L. Tintjer

Anna Tintjer, age 95, of Hubbard, IA, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at the Hubbard Care Center in Hubbard, IA.
Anna Louise Tintjer was born on July 26, 1930 on the family farm north of Hubbard, IA. She was one of four children born to William and Frieda (Tiekenheinrich) Tintjer.
Anna grew up on the farm north of Hubbard. She received her education in Tipton #5 Country School. A little later in life she studied and received her GED.
Anna spent a good share of her life as a caretaker; first moving to town to take care of her aging grandparents, eventually caring for her parents and babysitting for many, many children in the community. Over the years, she also worked in the Post Office, worked as a switchboard operator at the Hubbard Coop Telephone, and at the Lindeman Grocery Store.
Anna always had a big garden during the years that she was able. She butchered hundreds of chickens in her life. She never missed Wheel of Fortune. She loved to read the Our Iowa Magazine and read her Bible most every night.
Anna passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at the Hubbard Care Center.
Those remaining to cherish her memory include her brother Walter Tintjer of Marshalltown, IA and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Wallace and William Jr., and one niece Nancy Tintjer.
