Anna Tozzo

Anna Tozzo, loving wife, mother,sister, grandmother and aunt, passed away peacefully at home on December 6, 2025 at the age of 98. Anna was a life long resident of New Rochelle having been born on March 6, 1927 to the late Antonio Raffa and Antonetta Soriano and was the younger sister of Letterio "Alley" Raffa. She grew up attending St. Gabriel High School and went on to marry the late Arthur Tozzo, with whom she raised 2 children, Michael Tozzo, and Marianne Novelli. When Arthur died suddenly in 1979, she raised their two teenagers on her own, no easy feat-while working two jobs to support them. She taught as an elementary school ESL teacher aide in the New Rochelle Public Schools for 26 years and was a home care aide to the elderly. Anna was an active member of St. Joseph's Church attending every Sunday and helping with the annual St. Joseph feast. She will be deeply missed by her two children, her granddaughter, Emma Tozzo and her extended family and friends. She was known to all for her selfless, kind and helpful spirit-always willing to lend a hand. Towards the end of her life she made a bucket list: Go to Playland with Emma. Go window shopping.
