Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. - West ReadingAnna M. "Ann" Vath, 98, of Wyomissing, passed away on December 22, 2025 at Berks Heim. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of George and Mamie (Zambito) Nicrone.
Ann attended Reading High School and devoted her life to raising her family, taking great pride in her role as a homemaker. She also worked in retail for Jones of New York.
With faith as an important part of her life, Ann was a 50-year member of St. Margaret's RCC, Reading and more recently a member of St. Ignatius Loyola RCC, Whitfield. She was also a member of the Junior Catholic Women's Club of Berks County and a longtime volunteer at St. Margaret's Parochial School.
She is survived by her daughters: Beverly A. Gallo, of Wyomissing, Eileen M. Franco (David P.), Indialantic, FL, and Judy Vath Boylan (Timothy), of Medford, NJ, and her step children: Steven Vath (Shawn), of Cranford, NJ, Robert Vath (Carole), of Hopewell, NJ, and Susan Vath (Matthew Williams), of New Hope, PA. Also surviving is her loving sister, Nettie J. Thomas. Ann will be missed by her grandchildren: Robert (Amy), Lori (Joseph), Dominic (Jessica), Kristen (Andrew), Robert (Tammy), Heather (Darren), Tara (Mark), Emily (Mike), Abby, Gracie, Amanda, and Shannon; her great-grandchildren: Annie, Kyra, David, Sophie, Stella, Mickey, Katie (Rob), Eva, Addison, Gavin, Alexander, Emmeline, Matthew, and Madden; and her great-great-grandchildren, Tony and Siena. Many wonderful nieces and nephews also survive her.
Ann was predeceased by her parents, her first husband, Robert A. Vath, her second husband, William D. Vath, her sister, Sara Jane Weaver, her son-in-law, Robert Gallo, and her grandson, David R. Franco.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 12PM at St. Ignatius Loyola Church, 2600 St Albans Dr, Reading, PA 19609. Family and friends will be received from 11-12PM. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. If you are planning to attend services, please consider wearing something blue, Ann's favorite color.
