A Funeral Mass for Annabelle Adamson, age 94, of O'Neill will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in O'Neill. Fr Bernard Starman will officiate. Annabelle passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at the Heritage of Bel Air in Norfolk, Nebraska. Arrangements are entrusted to Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill.

Annabelle Koenig was born on May 28, 1931 to Adolph and Audrey (Tomjack) Koenig in Ewing, NE. She grew up on a farm in Holt County and graduated from high school in Ewing in 1948. After high school graduation she graduated from Briar Cliff College in Sioux City in 1949. After college graduation she worked for NPPD in O'Neill for two years.

On July 24, 1951 she married Emil (Junior) Adamson at St. John's church in Ewing, NE. They were blessed with seven children and 69 years together. Annabelle was a devout Christian who regularly attended mass, oftentimes daily. She worked with her husband at Adamson Distributing for 23 years. Prior to her short, but pleasant stay at Norfolk's Bel Air, Annabelle lived 10 years at the Evergreen Assisted Living in O'Neill where she was always grateful for the wonderful care and friendships she made during her stay there.

She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren very much and was never happier than when her families gathered together. She also enjoyed playing cards, especially pitch and bridge. Everyone that knew her, could attest for her fondness of chocolate, especially turtles.

Annabelle is survived by her five children, Debra (Don) Burt of Grandview, MO, Sandy (Jack) Riley of Green Valley, AZ, Dianne (John) Klein of Kahoka, MO, Don (Laurie) Adamson of Norfolk, NE, Mike (Kathleen) Adamson of Springfield, OH; 18 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; her brother, Tom (Connie) Koenig of Elwood, NE.

She was preceded in death by her parents Adolph & Audrey Koenig; her husband Junior; her brothers Jerry, Leonard, and Gene Koenig; her son John and infant son Richard, and her granddaughter Gwendolyn.
