Annabelle Blake, 96, of Alfordsville, Indiana passed away at 9:56 p.m. Saturday, February 17th, 2024 at her home.
She was born February 12, 1928 in Shoals, Indiana to the late Edward and Louise (Johnson) Holt. Annabelle married Leland Lester Blake on February 16, 1946 and he preceded her in death on October 9, 1984.
Annabelle was a member of Alfordsville Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, gardening, and bird watching.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Lester Blake; parents, Edward and Louise Holt; siblings, Bob Holt, Bernice Beecher, and Virginia Earl; great-grandson, Jalen Blake.
Annabelle is survived by her children, Dennis (Joanne) Blake of Jasper, Frank (Judy) Blake of Greenfield, Kermit (Gale) Blake of Bradenton, Florida, Joyce (Mark) Shelton of Bedford, Randy (Patty) Blake, John (Glenda) Blake, and Roger (Letha) Blake, all of Alfordsville; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Wayne (Sue) Holt and Joann Hall, both of Mitchell.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee. Burial will follow in the Alfordsville Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 20th, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alfordsville Cemetery.
