Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lopatich-Brinker Funeral Home, LLC on Jan. 26, 2026.
Annabelle R. (Schaeffer) Freeman, 95, of Derry Township, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 25, 2026. She was born May 4, 1930, in Kittanning, a daughter of the late George and Madeline Schaeffer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Raymond Freeman; her sons, Kenneth W. Freeman and Dennis L. Freeman; and her brothers, Milton Schaeffer and Harold Schaeffer.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Betty Ann Freeman; her grandchildren, Mark W. Freeman (Stephanie) of Latrobe, Marsha L. Schomaker (Ryan) of Wichita, KS, Faye Ann Lehman of Butler, and Traver L. Freeman (Amy) of El Cajon, CA; 16 great-grandchildren, Everett, Olivia, Poppy, Jasmine (Reed), Westley (Sheridan), Rock, Steel, Cannon, Daisy, Stone, Caleb, Kyla, Isaiah, Enzo, James, and Benjamin; and one great-great-granddaughter, Estella.

As the spouse of a career U.S. Air Force serviceman, Annabelle devoted her life to raising her family while residing on military bases in Tampa, FL, Rapid City, SD, Bunker Hill, IN, and Morocco, North Africa. Upon returning to Pennsylvania, Annabelle and her husband owned and operated the Countryside Golf Range in Derry Township for ten years. She was also employed at Federal Lab and Latronics.

Annabelle enjoyed gardening and finding bargains at local sales. Her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up. She was Christian by faith.

The family would like to thank the staff at Barnes Place, Latrobe, for the care and compassion they provided, as well as those who offered ministerial services there.

In accordance with her wishes, services will be private and are entrusted to Lopatich-Brinker Funeral Home, LLC, Latrobe. To sign the online guest book, send condolences, or share a story, please visit www.lopatichbrinker.com.
