Anne Ignash, 99, formerly of Summerfield and Deland, Florida passed away at Ridgecrest Nursing and Rehab in Deland on March 12, 2022. She was born April 6, 1922, the daughter of the late Wawara and Frank Gryba. Anne was a native of Gilbert Plains, Canada before marrying her husband, Mykola (Nick). They shared many years of love and happiness before his passing in 2007. After living in Windsor, Canada, they moved to Miami In 1962, eventually moving to Summerfield then Deland. In her free time, Anne enjoyed cooking, traveling, and doing crafts. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.
Anne is survived by her son, Larry Ignash (Susan); daughter,Nancy (Rusty) Huckabee, Grandson Jeffrey (Angela); Granddaughter Jennifer (Matthew) Cooper and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mykola; and her 6 siblings.
A funeral service for Anne will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services (910 E Silver Springs Blvd. Ocala, FL 34470) on Friday, April 8 at 11:00am. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Ocala. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Halifax Hospice.
