Anne Junca Obituary
Anne is survived by her children, Rosalie Johnston and Charles Junca; grandchildren, Allison Deviney, Joseph Junca, Harold Junca, III, Guy Johnston, Jason Junca, Elizabeth Bell Landry, Marie Hill and Guy Stafini; and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Junca, Sr.; parents, Adolph Gibbons and the former Elsie Boudreaux; and children, Susan Junca Bell, Harold Junca, Jr., and Elaine Junca.
Anne Is a graduate of UL (Formally SLI). Through the years she has participated in individual and group shows and is the recipient of many awards. She was an associate member of the Pensacola Art Association, the Louisiana Art Association, and the Watercolor Society.
Anne is a certified art therapist and draws from this knowledge to present lectures, classes, and workshops of her own. She conducted art enrichment programs on the elementary and high school levels and taught in the continuing education department at UL. She maintained a studio in the quiet community of Glenco where for the past 28 years she taught drawing, painting, color theory and design.
Anne was represented by the Lafayette Art Association and its companion gallery at the Heymann Performing Arts Center.
She also loved to cook, read, gardening and learning, but most of all she loved painting, drawing and teaching art.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Louisiana Funeral Services 108 Hardware Rd Broussard on Tuesday July 11, 2023 from 4:00 PM until time of service.
