Martha Womack Junca

Martha Womack Junca passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, at the age of 80 in Mandeville, LA. Martha was born to the late J.L. and Faye Womack on October 3, 1945, in Lubbock, TX,

She was married to the late Hugh Junca, with whom she shared 46 years of marriage until his passing. She is the mother of Sheranda Rector (Craig) and LaCresiea Olivier (Michael), who will forever hold their mother's memory in their hearts. Survived by her large and loving family, Martha was the proud grandmother to LaDonna Ralston (Nathan), Chance Herrington (Dawn), Caleb Rector (Michelle), Nathan Rector (Kaele), Dylan Olivier, Michaela Gagliano (Nick), and Dane Olivier. Her joy was multiplied with the arrival of each of her 17 great-grandchildren, who brought endless happiness and laughter into her life. Martha is also survived by several nieces, nephews and her sister in law, Ann Carter. She is preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Shaw (Albert), whose memory remained a cherished part of her life.

As an astrologer and teacher at Golden Leaves Book Store in Metairie, Martha shared her knowledge and love for astrology, guiding many through the celestial map and helping them find clarity and purpose.

As we bid farewell to Martha Womack Junca, we celebrate a life beautifully lived. Her memory will be cherished and her presence deeply missed.
