Anne Currie Kiskinis, 95, passed away peacefully at Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital surrounded by her family members on October 11, 2025.
Born in Washington, NC, she was the daughter of the late Wyatte Adam Currie and Dora Moore Currie. Anne was also predeceased by her great grandson, Robert Matthew Kiskinis.
Anne moved to Norfolk, Virginia at the age of 12 and went on to graduate from Maury High School in 1947. She later attended Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, Virginia.
Upon returning to Norfolk, Anne worked for General Electric and Sears and Roebuck before starting her career in administration at the Atlantic Division of Naval Facilities Engineering Command where she retired after 30 years of service. She later came out of retirement, joining the sales team at J Romm clothing boutique.
Anne was an avid beach fan and throughout most of her life, summer weekends were spent with family and friends on the bay or oceanfront enjoying the company of those she loved. She lived for the annual family trip to Hatteras Island where she would start her day cooking breakfast for everyone, later spending the day on the beach, and finally ending her evening sitting in a chair on the deck overlooking the ocean and thanking the Lord for the gift of life.
For over 50 years she was a member of Coleman Place Presbyterian Church in Norfolk. Anne was dedicated to the service of others, and throughout her entire life she derived her greatest pleasure when she was giving to her friends and family, especially to those in need.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Bruce Jackson, Greg Kiskinis (Mary Lou), Garry Kiskinis (Gary Riffe); her grandchildren, Meredith Davis (Jonathan), Tye Kiskinis (Becca), and Katie Erlwein (Mike); and her great grandchildren, Callahan, Claudia, Lilly, Owen, Kane, and Andi.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Lake Taylor Transitional Hospital for their loving care and support over the last 8 years of her life.
A Celebration of Life will be held at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Ave, Norfolk, VA, on Sunday November 9 at 1:00 PM followed by a reception at the Women's Club of Norfolk located at 524 Fairfax Ave, Norfolk, VA.
In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital Foundation or the American Stroke Foundation.

I first got to know Anne when I was an 18 year old Student Aid at LANTDIV and enjoyed carpooling and going to the beach with her. She once sold me a winning raffle ticket for Greg's fraternity that covered a semester's tuition! Later in life, I enjoyed visiting with her and sharing our love of fashion when she worked at JRomm. I last saw her at Norma's funeral. I'm so sorry her last years were difficult ones. She was such a sweet lady - beautiful inside and out. My condolences to the Kiskinis family.
