Samuel Moore Hedgecock, Jr, 78, of Norfolk, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025. Born in Martinsville, VA, he was the son of Samuel M. Hedgecock, Sr and Mary Lavinder (Pannill) Hedgecock. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Harry Pannill Hedgecock.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jane Clarkson Hedgecock, daughters Greyson Hedgecock, Pannill Titus and her husband Nick, son Hunter Hedgecock, grandson Gus Titus, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Graduating from Martinsville High School in 1965, he attended Virginia Tech and practiced as an architect for over 30 years.

A funeral service to celebrate Sam's life will be held on Friday, October 17, 11AM at Christ & St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 560 W Onley Rd, Norfolk.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Episcopal Relief and Development.
