Anne C. McLachlin, born Anne King on a spring day in 1942 in Derby, CT, bid her final farewell on February 23, 2024. Anne's life was an extraordinary tapestry woven with dedication, love, and compassion.
Throughout her remarkable journey, Anne devoted over 35 years of her life to Littleton Regional Hospital, where she served in various roles including operating room tech, Central Supply supervisor, and Purchasing agent. Her commitment to her work was unparalleled, leaving a lasting impact on all those she encountered within the hospital walls.
Anne's thirst for knowledge led her to Maple Street School and Seymour High School before embarking on her nursing education journey at St. Raphael Nursing School in New Haven, CT, culminating in her studies at Trinity College in Burlington, VT. Her educational achievements were a testament to her unwavering determination and intellectual curiosity.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Anne found solace and joy in simple pleasures. A talented knitter, she lovingly crafted numerous sweaters for her grandchildren. Her passion for cross-stitching and reading provided moments of tranquility amidst life's hustle and bustle.
In the symphony of Anne's life, family played a central and cherished role. She is survived by her beloved husband Robert S. McLachlin, their daughters Jennifer McLachlin and Catherine McLachlin, daughter-in-law Amy McLachlin, grandchildren Sarah Puchalla (and husband Grant), Kyle McLachlin (and wife Sydnee), Hannah McLachlin (and partner Richard), Ashley Francois; as well as great-granddaughter Alexandria McLachlin.
In the embrace of eternity, Anne reunites with those who have gone before her – her son Patrick McLachlin; brother-in-law Robert Ahern; brother-in-law Louis Sanborn - leaving behind cherished memories that will forever grace the hearts of those who knew her.
Among those mourning Anne's passing are also her sister Geraldine Ahern, sister-in-law Mary Sanborn, nieces and nephews Robert Ahern, Kelly Ahern, Heather Brennen, Amanda Jones, Abigail Satchell, Matthew McLachlin, Demi Sexton - each touched by Anne's kindness and warmth in their own unique ways.
