Anne O'Connell Meyer, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away on November 11, 2025, after a brave battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Born on June 13, 1954, in Honolulu, Hawaii, Anne was the cherished daughter of William O'Connell and Philomena Ridgway O'Connell. She was the devoted wife of Richard Meyer and the proud, loving mother of Meghan Meyer and Katie Meyer, who is married to Sean Martin. She is survived by her sisters, Erin O'Connell Dawes and Kathy O'Connell Hunter. Anne also leaves behind her many Ridgway cousins, with whom she shared a lifelong and loving bond that brought her great joy.

Her faith played a huge role in her life and in her many moves as a Navy Brat, the Catholic parish in town was always her touchstone. Guided by that faith, Anne attended St. Mary's College in South Bend, Indiana - a place that reflected her values of faith, education, and service to community. There, she met the love of her life, Rich, a student at the University of Notre Dame. The two were married at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the Notre Dame campus - the beginning of 48 years of love and devotion to each other. St. Mary's remained a cherished part of Anne's life, and she was deeply proud that both of her daughters followed in her footsteps as graduates.

Anne proudly served her country for 30 years with the Central Intelligence Agency. Among her many accomplishments, she particularly enjoyed her role as Program Director, which allowed her to impart her dedication and sense of duty while training new analysts. Her long and distinguished career was a reflection of her intelligence, integrity, and commitment to service to country.

To those who knew her, Anne will be remembered for her heart. She had an infectious laugh that could fill a room, a kindness that made everyone feel seen and valued, and a warmth that drew people close. There was nothing she loved more than a lively conversation in the kitchen surrounded by people she loved. Anne made every holiday brighter, every gathering more joyful, and every moment more meaningful.

Anne's life was defined by faith and love - for her family, her friends, and her country. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, kindness, and laughter that will continue to lift all who were fortunate enough to know her.
