Anne leaves behind son, Brendan Murphy and daughter in-law Lisa Merithew, (West Newbury, MA), daughter Kathleen Murphy, and longtime partner Jonathan Oneill, (Bradford, MA), Grandchildren Paul and Euan Murphy, of West Newbury, sisters, Jill and Lucy Collins of Mashpee, MA, brother, Thomas Collins of Wareham MA, grand-dog Dexter Murphy of Bradford MA, and MANY nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends that will all miss her dearly.
With her kind-hearted, quiet, generous nature and her love of a good laugh, Anne was beloved by all who knew her. Anne was a very talented artist and painter who thrilled many people over the years with paintings that she loved to give out as gifts. She loved tending to her flower gardens, travelling adventures (especially to Ireland and Cape Breton Island!), a good dish of (Brighams) iced cream, and cheering on her beloved Red Sox and Patriots. Above all else, Anne was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, daughter, and friend, who most enjoyed spending time with family and loved ones whenever possible.
We are grateful for the stories, memories, and laughs that family and friends have shared during this difficult time.
Calling hours will be on Sunday, August 27th, 2023, from 2:00 5:00 p.m., at F. S. Roberts & Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Annes honor to the following charities: Cure Alzheimers Fund (curealz.org) or Greater Boston Food Bank (gbfb.org). Arrangements entrusted to F. S. Roberts & Son Funeral Home.
