Anne Rollins Obituary
Anne "Sweet Pea" Rollins passed away after a short illness at the age of 75, on
Wednesday, May 10, 2023, with her husband, Pete, and her niece, Debbie by her
side.
Anne was born August 8, 1947, in Arlington, VA, to the late Reginald and Mary
Wilkinson. Anne was the perfect wife! She and her husband Pete met in high
school. After graduation they both went their separate ways until reuniting in
1989 and getting married on June 11, 1994. They had the perfect love story.
She always had a smile! She was a very honest, generous, and loyal friend. She
had a full heart that cared deeply for her family and friends. She was a loving wife,
mother, grandmother, and aunt. Her family meant everything to her. She always
remembered birthdays and special occasions. "Mothers hold their children's
hands for a while, but their hearts forever."
After 35 years of service, Anne retired from the Air Force as a civilian contractor
working as the lead on The Freedom of Information Act.
Anne loved life and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Survived by the
love of her life and best friend, her husband of 29 years, Pete; her son Michael
Wilkinson (Phaedra) of Northbrook, IL; grandchildren Emma and Jared Wilkinson;
brothers John Wilkinson (Toni) of Arlington, TX; James Wilkinson (Clare) of
Houston, TX; nieces and nephews including Melissa Ervin (Eugene), Amy Singleton
(Kenneth), Clint Wilkinson (Jennifer), Lindy Fields (Michael), Clayton Wilkinson
(Natalie), Jessica McLennan (David), Debbie Dunn (Lyn), Gregory Mumma
(Melissa), as well as numerous grandnieces and grandnephews; and special
friends Gina and Stephen Maisch.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday May 13, 2023, at 3:00 PM at
Goldfinch Funeral Home Beach Chapel.
The family would like any memorials to be sent in Anne's name to St Jude
Childrens Hospital at stjude.org.
Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel is assisting the family.

I haven't forgotten the many years Anne and I spent together with Pete, Lama, and her mom and our friends. I know she's in a better place, but my heart breaks when I think of the void she left behind. She had such faith, compassion, joy, and integrity. Anne and I were colleagues and friends. We worked together, conducted training together, traveled together and enjoyed a relationship after retirement. She loved her family and loved the Lord. I was shocked to hear of her passing. I am heart-broken. I know that she is with her mom and the Lord. I pray for Pete to find comfort. They loved one another deeply.

To our sweet Anne. You are the best big sister and sister-in-law that we could ever have had. We are so thankful for all of our great memories. Memories from our wedding, the birth of our kids, your long hair to your short hair, your trips to Texas and our trips to Virginia and South Carolina, our beach trips have always been so fun. Thanks for the memories. Thanks for your love and joy. This is so hard to go through, but somehow we will make it. John and I love you so much, and we will miss you forever.
