Anne Marie Zawislak

Anne Marie (Bartys) Zawislak age 69, formerly of Pinconning, passed away on November 10, 2025 at McLaren Bay Region. She was born on July 16, 1956 in Bay City, Michigan to Walter and Julia (Lachcik) Bartys.
Anne is survived by her daughter, Rose Anne (Arthur) Smith and grandchildren Hoyt and Julia Smith and her son and daughter-in –law Ryan and Jennifer. Also surviving her are brothers: John (Judy) Bartys, Bernard Bartys, Stanley Bartys, Thomas Bartys, Steve Sr. (Susan) Bartys and Gerard Sr. (Debbie) Bartys and sisters Irene (Dr. John) Lyons and Theresa Kraus as well as many nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Walter and Julia Bartys, brother Francis Bartys, sister-in-law Kathy Bartys and brother-in-law Gary Kraus.
Anne had a gentle heart and kind spirit. She will be remembered for her laughter, warmth and the love that she gave so freely to her family.
In her later years, Anne lived at Auburn Heights Senior Care-Assisted Living where she offered friendship and warmth to residents and staff alike. During her later years, she faced growing struggles with her mental health which gradually led her down a difficult path and influenced many of the choices she made. Still, God in His infinite mercy, remained faithful and forgiving, reminding us that His love redeems all.
At Anne's request, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 12 noon at the Abundant Life Church, 3675 Lincoln Rd., Standish, MI. Pastor Tom McCoy will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Mary Mt. Cavalry Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Church from 11 a.m. until the service begins.
