Jerry L. Aikens
Bay City, Michigan
Our devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother who was deeply loved by all who knew him, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Covenant HealthCare – Harrison in Saginaw, at the age of 67.
Jerry was born on August 29, 1958, in Bay City, Michigan, to the late Herbert and Florence (Brissette) Aikens. On August 9, 1984, he married the love of his life, Kimberly A. (Bacca), and together they shared more than 41 wonderful years of marriage.
A hardworking and dedicated man, Jerry owned and operated A-1 Painting Company for many years. He was also employed with Pendell Printing, which later became Quad Graphics in Midland. Jerry was a member of All Saints Parish – St. James Church.
Jerry loved taking road trips and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed deer hunting in Gladwin, salmon fishing in Oscoda, and taking motorcycle rides with friends. A loyal NASCAR fan, Jerry always knew how to have a good time-he loved to laugh, celebrate, and make lasting memories with his family and friends. More than anything, he adored his grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them.
Left to treasure his memory are his beloved wife, Kimberly; four children: Chad Aikens, Sarah (Aaron) Karr, Adam (Kari) Aikens, and Rebecca (Troy) Wesenick; and his loving grandchildren: Matthew and Joesph Mahlon, Madison, Chad, and Alex Aikens; LeeAnn Karr; Adam Aikens II; and Adrian and James Roseberry. He is also survived by two sisters, Linda Rogner and Mary (Kim) Stock; his in-laws, Kevin and Kenny Bacca, Kristopher (Renee) Bacca, and Dee Aikens; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Jerry was welcomed into heaven by his parents; his brothers Ralph (Grace) Aikens, Herbert Aikens, and Thomas (Laura) Aikens; his sisters Barbara (Lynn) Stillwell, Connie (Butch) Graham, and Kathy (Samuel) Tucker.
Jerry will be remembered for his generous heart, quick wit, and unwavering love for his family. He truly made life brighter for everyone around him. That's why everyone called him Uncle Jerry.
The Funeral Service for Jerry will be held Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 5:30 PM at Ambrose Funeral Home, 1200 Garfield Ave., Bay City, MI 48708. Pastor Rick Milks will officiate. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider monetary contributions to the family in care of Kimberly Aikens.
