Annetta Rae Wilson Behrens, age 82, of North East, passed away on Thursday April 17, 2025 at UPMC Hamot.
Annetta was born June 19th, 1942 to the late Clarence and Opal Wilson in the suburbs of Chicago.
Upon graduating from Arlington Heights High School, she married the (late) Robert E. Behrens Sr.
They moved to North East in the late 60's to help her parents open up the Lakeview Motel and Restaurant now known as The New Harvest Restaurant.
She was a bookkeeper at many different local businesses and social clubs over the years, including her own rental business and her husbands business Behrens Auto Repair.
She always devoted herself to making sure her family was healthy and happy.
Other than her parents Rae was preceded in death by her husband, Robert and a son Brian K. Behrens.
Annetta was so loved and will be undeniably missed by her family and friends. Her smile and quick wit will forever leave a void in this world.
She leaves behind a Grandson, Danny Behrens, who she raised as her own son. Erika Williams who gave her the three most precious great granddaughters, Dylan, Sadie, and Paige Behrens, who were the absolute light of her world and in her words were "the reason to keep going" A brother Denny Wilson (Nancy), Two sister in laws Diane Stephens (Russ) and Gin Canchola, a few nieces and nephews, Bob Behrens Jr. and a few very special friends.
The family wants to give a special thank you to LECOM Nursing and Rehab and UPMC Hamot for making her last couple months as comfortable as possible and taking such great care of her.
Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East.
In lieu of of flowers, memorials may be made to Boy Scout Troop 57 in care of the Park United Methodist Church, 30 North Lake Street, North East, PA 16428. Please send condolences to elkinfh.com.
