Funeral service for Annetta Ree "Mickey" Francois Dupas of Simmesport will begin at 11:00am on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Simmesport with Rev. Chris Augustine officiating. Burial will follow at the Greater New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Simmesport.
Annetta "Mickey" Dupas, age 81, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. She was born on August 31, 1943.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two devoted sons, Juan Maurice Dupas of Simmesport and Christopher Dupas (Marguerite) of Marksville; 4 grandchildren, Chrishon Howard of New Orleans, Brian Dupas of Marksville, Christian Jeansonne of Dallas, TX, and Devon Dupas of Marksville; 2 great-grandchildren, Chase Jeansonne and Kenzie Hughes; sisters, Demetria Alexander of Simmesport, LA, Frankie Houston (Earl) of Cedar Hill, TX, and Willie Lynette Francois of Baton Rouge, LA; one godchild, Emmrid Gilbert; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Willie Ola Brown Francois; father, Frank Francois; brothers, George Brown and Reginald Francois; maternal grandparents, Walter and Arnetta Brown, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Eugene & Viola Forbes Francois.
Visitation will begin at 8:00am until 11:00am on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Simmesport.
