Mrs. Annette McConico Benton was born in Dunn, North Carolina on October 9, 1959, to Isaac McConico and Annie Mae Washington. When she was 3 years old, she moved to Jacksonville, Florida where she was raised by her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Jack and Evelyn Hall.
She attended the local schools in Duval County Public Schools and graduated from William M. Raines, Class of 1977. Annette retired from Medtronic Xomed after 30 years of dedicated service as a Team Leader in 2021.
Annette departed her life on Sunday, August 13th, 2023, and was preceded in death by her parents, aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Jack and Evelyn Hall; siblings: Helen Mae Marshall, Horace Wright Jr., Evelyn McLean, and Isaac Wright.
She leaves many cherished memories with her surviving loved ones: spouse, Mr. Tommie Benton; son, Tommy L. Benton; grandchildren, Cortez Hall, Tykela Benton, Zarrian Benton, Zarrod Benton, and Aaron Benton, all of Jacksonville, Florida; sisters, Jeanette Covington and Mary Green of Dunn North Carolina; cousins, Earthalene Dedeaux and Crystal Brown (Willie) of Jacksonville; special friends, Brenda Bender, Angela Donaldson, and Vicki Olopade; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many sorrowing friends.
