It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ledel Annette Forestier Dobson, who left us on October 23, 2025, at the age of 56. Born on February 7, 1969, in Lake Charles, LA, Annette lived a life filled with love and laughter in Jennings, LA.
As a dedicated registered nurse, Annette poured her heart into caring for others, making a difference in countless lives. But it was her family who truly filled her heart. She cherished every moment spent cooking, dancing, camping, and working on puzzles with her loved ones. There was nothing she loved more than being surrounded by family, always bringing joy and smiles to everyone around her.
Annette is survived by her devoted husband, Jarett Dobson; her beloved son, Jacob Dobson; and her loving mother, Patricia Forestier. She will also be missed by her sisters Chris Forestier, Roxanne (Mark) West, and Jackie Forestier; her cherished nieces Zena Forestier and Emma Dobson; and her nephews Alex (Lindy) West, Marshal (Mallory) West, Dylan (Michelle) Hebert, Jordan (Skyler) Hebert, Jack (Nhi) Hebert, Austin Dobson, Beau Dobson, and Brady Dobson. She is further survived by her brothers-in-law Tony and Chris Dobson, and her father-in-law Malon Dobson and mother-in-law Roberta Dobson.
Friends and family are invited to join us for a Mass at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church on October 28, 2025, at 10:00 am. Prior to the Mass, there will be public viewing at Miguez Funeral Home; the viewings will take place on October 27 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a Rosary at 6:00 pm. On October 28, the public will again be welcome at Miguez Funeral Home starting at 8:00 am until the time of service. She will be laid to rest at the Calvary Mausoleum.
Annette's spirit will continue to shine through all of us who knew and loved her. We invite you to celebrate her life and the joy she brought into ours.
Annette was preceded in death by her father, Ledel "Blackie" Forestier.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Ochsner Cancer Center of Acadiana for their care and support that they gave Annette.
