It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jack Allen Langley, a beloved father, and friend, who left us on October 21, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on April 5, 1936, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Jack spent most of his life between California and Jennings, Louisiana, where he became a cherished member of his community.
Jack was known for his incredible skills as a master mechanic in the machinery industry, where he worked tirelessly and passionately for many years. Outside of work, he found joy in a variety of hobbies. He loved reading, woodworking, and traveling, always seeking out new adventures. Fishing was a favorite pastime, and he treasured the days spent by the water. Jack was also a big sports fan and enjoyed cheering on his favorite teams, especially when surrounded by family. He was a devout Christian and loved talking about the Bible.
He is survived by his son, Mark Langley, and daughter, Janet (Russell) Parsons, both of whom carry on his legacy of love and warmth.
A funeral service will be held in his honor on October 26, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Miguez Funeral Home, with a public viewing starting at 12:30 PM that same day. Friends, family, and anyone whose life Jack touched are welcome to join us as we celebrate a life well-lived and share cherished memories.
Jack was preceded in death by: his parents, Alcede Langley, Laura Witherwax; his wife, Vina Langley; and his sister, Betty Woodard.
