MAMOU -- Annette Landreneau Fontenot passed away on September 18, 2023, in Sunset, Louisiana, at the age of 57, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Mamou, starting at 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM by Deacon Chuck Ortego.
Born on January 24, 1966, in Mamou, Annette was the daughter of Ronald and Mary Richard Landreneau. Throughout her life, Annette had an unwavering dedication to her family. She found great joy in spending time with her loved ones and creating lasting memories with them. Annette's warm presence and kind-hearted nature will be greatly missed by all who knew her. When not behind the wheel of the school bus, she enjoyed indulging in her hobbies of camping, fishing, and crabbing. These activities brought her closer to nature, providing moments of serenity and tranquility amidst the busyness of life.
Annette is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Jonathan "Joey" Fontenot of Sunset. Together, they shared a bond built on love, trust, and mutual understanding. She leaves behind precious memories for her daughter Tiffani Guillory. of Sunset and son Brennan Guillory of Comfort, Texas. She embraced motherhood wholeheartedly, nurturing and guiding her children with unconditional love throughout their lives. Her impact on their lives is immeasurable, and she will forever hold a special place in their hearts. In addition to her biological children, Annette welcomed Dustin Fontenot of Opelousas and Jonathan "Jon" Fontenot of Comfort, Texas as cherished stepchildren into her loving embrace. Her role as a stepmother was marked by inclusivity and acceptance, creating a beautiful, blended family that grew together in love and unity. Annette is also survived by her brothers Keith Landreneau and Kent Landreneau both of Mamou, who shared a deep bond of siblinghood with her. Annette was blessed with the joy of becoming a grandmother to Ivy Grace, Julia, and Lucas. Her grandchildren will carry forward her love and cherished memories in their hearts.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ronald, and Mary Richard Landreneau.
Annette Mary Fontenot has left an indelible mark on the lives she touched. She will forever be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, dear grandmother, caring stepmother, and a friend to many. Her warmth and kindness will continue to be felt by those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
