Annette Stroup Holland Harrell, 86, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023, at AdventHealth Gordon following an extended period of declining health.
She was born in Spring Place, Georgia, on April 8, 1937, the daughter of the late Susie Osborn Stroup. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a son, Randy Holland; grandson, Jubel Holland; siblings, Elizabeth Argyle, Edna Copeland, Willie Ruth Carroll, Edith Stroup, Joe Stroup, and Don Stroup; her first husband, and the father of her children, Charles Holland and her husband, William Harrell.
She was a faithful wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Calhoun Spinning as a Winder operator and was a member of New Zion Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Robin Holland Bennett, and her husband Dale; her son, Michael Holland Sr., and his wife Beverly; grandchildren, Brandon (Summer) Bennett, Lane (India) Bennett, Daniel (Shea) Bennett, and Mike (Jackie) Holland Jr., great-grandchildren, Declan, Jillian, Laney Kate, and Grant Bennett, Nathan and Savannah Walraven; along with several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services for Annette Stroup Holland Harrell will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, November 25, 2023, from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Lamar Bearden officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot at Hinton Cemetery in the Hinton Community of Pickens County, Georgia. Pallbearers serving will include Brandon Bennett, Lane Bennett, Daniel Bennett, and Mike Holland Jr.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 25, from 12 Noon until the funeral hour at Max Brannon and Sons.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at The Oaks at Fairmount and Tapestry Hospice.
