Annette Theresa "Nettie" Harrison

Annette Theresa Harrison, affectionately known as "Nettie," graced our earthly realm on May 29, 1963. She was born to the late Avis May Catrell-Harrison and Louis DeCordova Harrison on the beautiful island of Jamaica, in the parish of St. Andrew.
Annette was a vibrant and deeply spiritual individual. Known to many as a holistic healer, she was a source of guidance and comfort to countless people. She served as a mother figure and mentor, profoundly impacting the lives of those around her. Her culinary talents were widely celebrated, with family and friends often requesting her famous meals and tropical drinks. Annette found joy in morning walks, traveling, and collecting paintings. She cherished time spent with loved ones. She loved basketball and a devoted fan of the UCONN Huskies men's and women's teams. A proud alumna of Excelsior High School, Annette dedicated over 25 years as a loving caretaker. Her kindness and generosity will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Annette passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 14, 2025. She is survived by her father, Louis DeCordova Harrison, and her beloved 101-year-old grandmother, Icylda Byrd. She leaves behind her siblings: Windell Harrison, Richard Harrison, Andrew Harrison, Ian Harrison, Marsha Harrison, and Natalie Morris. Her memory will also be cherished by her nieces Shakanda (Shay) Harrison, Chinae Harrison, Saqqara Powell, Taylor Morris, Isabella Harrison, and Kaydence Jones; nephews Andrew Harrison Jr., Michael Harrison, Lashawn Harrison, Shaheem Harrison, Isaiah Harrison, Andrea Harrison, and Orlando Harrison; aunts Vivienne Foster and Kathleen Wilson; uncles Eric Peart and Owen Willock; and a host of loving cousins, friends, and co-workers.
Annette's life was a testament to love, compassion, and resilience. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Interment for Annette will take place at a later date in Jamaica.
