Alfred Perry Harrison

Abbeville, LA – Funeral services for Alfred Perry Harrison are scheduled for Saturday, February 28, 2026 for 11:00 A.M. at Christ Community Church – 210 S. St. Valerie Street. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until time of service.

Alfred Perry Harrison was born on February 29, 1960, in Lafayette, Louisiana to the late Roseanna Harrison and Morris Perry, Sr. On January 13, 2026, God sent His angel to Alfred's home.

Alfred was a graduate of Abbeville High School, where he developed a lifelong love for sports and proudly played football throughout his high school years. Over the course of his life, Alfred held many different jobs, but his true passions were cooking and raising his roosters, which he cherished dearly. He also enjoyed umpiring baseball games at the park during summer months. Above all, Alfred loved spending time with his family and being present at family gatherings. He truly loved life and lived it on his own terms. In his words, Alfred would say, "I look good, smell good, and always keep a dollar."

Alfred leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Narvye Harrison; two daughters: Lille C. Bell (Loveless, Sr.) of Abbeville, LA and Sheila Carey of Key West, FL; a daughter he loved as his own, Chrystal C. Bell of Abbeville, LA; two sons: Alfred A. Bell of Abbeville, LA and Joseph Burke of Key West, FL; six grandchildren: Alexia Bell, Loveless Robinson, Jr., Akeelah Robinson, Na'Vina Alexander, Zamyrie Hepburn and Zentavious Carey; a special nephew that he loved and trusted, Brock Harrison; two great-grandchildren; four godchildren: Martha Leger, Shatoya Levy, Zhanel Moore and Semaj Jones; five sisters: Anna Lee Hopkins, Roselee Hopkins, Mary Broussard, Odellia Harrison and Mammie Briggs; five brothers: Wilfred Hopkins, Wilton Hopkins (Marcelle), Wilson Perry, Marshall Perry and Michael Perry (Helena); two special friends whom he loved like brothers: Ralph Hutchinson (Maxie) and George Williams Petry (Crystal) and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Alfred is preceded in death by his parents Roseanna Harrison and Morris Perry, Sr.; one sister, Georgia Hopkins; two brothers: Clarence Perry and Morris Perry, Jr. and father- and mother-in-law Chester and Doris Conner.
