Annette Rhinehart Saffles, 77, of Fort Oglethorpe, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. She was born on May 23, 1945 in Chattooga County, Georgia and had lived in the North Georgia area for most of her life. She was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church and was previously employed with Hutcheson Medical Center for more than 33 years as a Respiratory Therapist and transcriptionist. She loved spending time with her family & friends and cooking for family gatherings is what she truly enjoyed. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend that will be truly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard & Imogene Jones; father, Hoyt Rhinehart and brother, Steve Wofford.
Survivors include her daughters & son-in-law, Lisa & (Billy) Derryberry and Kristi Thomas; sister & brother-in-law, Debbie & (Phil) Young; 4 grandchildren, Dr. Josh & (Tara) Derryberry, Jonathan Derryberry, Lindsay & (Samuel) Bunker and Kelsey O'Dell; 4 great-grandchildren, Jayden Derryberry, McKinley McIntosh, Khe'lani Woods, Luke Bunker and 2 more on the way; and numerous extended family & friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 1, 2023 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Bro. Nathan McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in the Arnold Cemetery with Billy Derryberry, Dr. Josh Derryberry, Jonathan Derryberry, Nathan Young, Preston Stephenson and Dusty Stephenson serving as Pallbearers and Jayden Derryberry serving as an Honorary Pallbearer. The family will receive friends from 4 – 8 p.m. on Friday and prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Online guest book at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com. Arrangements by W.
