Annette Scheele Obituary

Annette P. Scheele, affectionately known as "Dolly," was born on August 24, 1945, in Iaeger, West Virginia, and passed away peacefully from congestive heart failure on October 26, 2025, in Noblesville, Indiana. Her warm spirit and deep love for her family shone brightly throughout her life, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Dolly's life was devoted to her family, including her beloved husband of sixty years, William E. Scheele. Together, they shared a profound bond that was evident in the love they displayed for one another every day. Dolly took immense pride in her children, Bill (Joann) Scheele, Jr., Rodney Scheele, and Michelle (Bradley) France, and her only grandchild, Justin France, whom she cherished dearly.

She was an unwavering source of support and joy for her family, relishing mother and daughter outings, and creating cherished memories on family trips to Florida. Whether it was enjoying luncheons with her sisters, Sharon and Patsy, or traveling to Tennessee for the holiday celebrations with the Lester family, Dolly thrived in the company of her loved ones. Many will fondly remember her lively spirit during family dinners and board games, particularly in the Florida sunshine, as well as her early adventures to horse shows with her father and later with her son Rodney.

Dolly was blessed with a close-knit family, which included her siblings Joyce Gibson, Sharon (Shane) Pierce, Sampy D. Lester, Beatrice (Larry) Riffe, Eugene Lester, and Jeffery (Mary) Lester, as well as Phillip (Trina) Lester. Her large extended family, including an abundance of nieces and nephews, also found comfort in her loving presence. Throughout her life, her nieces often referred to her as "Princess Aunt Dolly," a testament to the affection and joy she brought into their lives.

She is predeceased by her parents, Sampy H. Lester and Gertrude Blankenship Lester, brothers Ronnie and Donald Lester, sisters Patsy Gunther and Nina Lester, and brother-in-law James Gunther, along with sisters-in-law Beulah, Loretta, and Janet Lester.

Dolly's legacy of love, family, and dedication to those around her will be remembered by all. A visitation will take place on October 30, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, followed by a funeral service which will begin at 2:30 PM at Flanner Buchanan - Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Conner Suite, located at 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250.

Dolly's life reminds us of the beauty of familial love and connection, and she will be missed deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
