Annie C. Davis, age 66, a resident of Columbia, passed away early Wednesday morning, August 20, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with Brother Demetrius Nelson officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on September 29, 1958, in Maury County, Annie was the daughter of the late Joe Cecil Armstrong and the late Mattie Louise Virginia Lee Armstrong. She was a devoted and longtime member of Carmack Boulevard Church of Christ, where she was known for her faithfulness and warm spirit. Annie was always the first to arrive on Sundays, parking her red car right out front. She delighted in handing out mints and helping in any way she could.
Annie enjoyed simple pleasures like shopping at Walmart and Foodland, but above all, she loved her family dearly. She never missed a chance to remind them to “be careful” and “I love you” every time they parted. Her kindness, love, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Vanessa Davis of Columbia; brother, George Cecil Armstrong; sisters, Mary (Charles) Norris of Columbia and Jannie Louise Armstrong of Columbia; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Merle “Cecil” Davis; brother, Joe Douglas Armstrong; and sister, Carolyn Vanessa Armstrong.
