Barry Randall Conner, age 64, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Following the service, he will be laid to rest in Loftin Cemetery. A visitation will also be held on Wednesday from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the church. Born on July 14, 1961, in Columbia, Tennessee, Barry was the son of the late Herbert Conner and the late Helen Reed Conner. He was a graduate of Columbia Central High School and spent many dedicated years working as a meat cutter at McBride’s. On February 9, 1992, he married the love of his life, Candice Waters, and together they owned and operated Candi’s Bail Bonds. He used the Bonding company to minister to people no matter their situation, expressing the love of Jesus to those in need. Barry was a devout Christian and a faithful member of The Pentecostals of Columbia, where he was a former board member and groundskeeper. He also lead the nursing home ministry and was willing to serve in any capacity needed at the church.

Barry was an avid outdoorsman who found peace in hunting, riding his motorcycle, and tending to his garden. A man of deep knowledge and unwavering faith, he took great pride in teaching his children and grandchildren the values that mattered most. He also enjoyed collecting Case knives, a hobby that brought him much joy. Above all, Barry was a genuine, kind-hearted man and the best “Poppy” in the world. He will be sorely missed.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his children, Trent (Dottie) Conner, Joey (Marlena) Claiborne, Kaytie Conner (Ryan Albertson), brothers, Ricky (Phyllis) Conner, Kenny (Kim) Conner, sister, Linda (Danny) Jacobs, Gina (Todd) Holt, grandchildren, Michael Claiborne, Aaron Claiborne, Cain, Tyler, and Wyatt Reed Conner, great grandchildren, Carter and Paisley, treasured nephew, Joey (Amity) Beckum, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Randall Reid Conner and Matthew Douglas Claiborne.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Trent Conner, Joey Claiborne, Ricky Conner, Kenny Conner, Stevie Reed, Randy Watkins, and Joey Beckum. The men of The Pentecostals of Columbia will serve as honorary pallbearers.
