Jesse E. Owen, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026, in Columbia, Tennessee. Born on July 16, 1936, Jesse was born and raised in the Williamson Co community. Jesse's career was defined by his commitment to building homes throughout Williamson County alongside his brothers.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Lewis, who stood by him through the years, providing support and companionship. Jesse also leaves behind his cherished sister, Ann Danner; brother, James Owen and daughter, Vickie Barrett, and Vicki Lewis who was a special friend. Jesse's legacy continues through his grandchildren: Michael Owen II, Thomas Owen, Kayla and Kristen Custer, Jessica Cocson, Jason Owen, Michaela Naville and David and Amanda Owen. His lineage is further enriched by ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, Stepchildren Brian Lewis and Stephanie Mangrum all of whom adore him and will remember the warmth and wisdom he shared.
While Jesse’s presence will be deeply missed, he is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Robbie Owen, and several siblings, including brothers C.B., Ollie Lee, Buddie, Roy, and Ed Owen, as well as sisters Lorraine, Myrtle Ruth, and Billie. He also mourned the loss of his sons, Michael and David Owen, and grandson, Joshua Owen.
Friends and family are invited to honor Jesse's life during visitation on February 10, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM, both taking place at Lawrence Funeral Home, located at 203 S Horton Parkway, Chapel Hill, TN. Burial will follow at the Owen Family Cemetery. Thomas Owen, James "Bubba" Owen, Barry Owen, Phil Owen, Tim Robinson, Tim Stawara, Tim Giles, Bryan Lewis and Michael Owen II to serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include the Breakfast Club at Dolans and friends and staff at Don Arturo's.
