Annie Ruth Williams

Mrs. Annie Ruth Williams, 93, passed away Monday, September 15, 2025. She was born July 13, 1932 in Wilkes County to the late Nellie Mae Wilborn Martin. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband John Lee Williams; a son, Tony Wayne Williams; and a daughter-in-law Kay Williams. Mrs. Williams was a member of Clark’s Memorial Baptist Church where she served on the cooking committee and was a faithful member. She loved her flower gardens, baking, cooking for her family and she was a well known house keeper. She is survived by her children, Joann Gadberry, John Lee Williams Jr., Diana Allen, Jerry “Pip” Williams, Gary (Jackie) Williams, Hazel Williams, Faye (Jamie) Grant; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Sunday, September 21, 2025 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Monday, September 22, 2025 in the Gentry Family Chapel with Rev. Joel Shackleford officiating. Burial will follow at Clark’s Memorial Baptist Cemetery. The family would like to thank everyone for the calls, food, flowers and for their love and kindness during our time of bereavement. The family would also like to thank the staff of Mtn.
