Anthony "Tony" Steven Arellanes
Tony Arellanes, born on June 11, 1971, in Banning, California passed away at the age of 53 in Cabazon, California on Saturday, July 13, 2024
Tony spent his childhood in Banning where he attended schools, played Little League baseball and made many, many friends. He later lived in Ventura and Oahu, Hawaii for 7 years. Tony returned to the Pass area to be close to his family and large extended family. He enjoyed the outdoor sports: Jeeping with his brothers, fishing, target shooting, and spending time at the beach. Tony also enjoyed going on long car rides and listening to music with his beloved "Best Friend" /Wife of 34 years, Victoria "Vicky" Surigao Arellanes of Cabazon. Tony and Vicky also raised their son Joseph McCafferty in Banning.
Tony had a special gift: he enjoyed life and being around friends and family, Bar-b-queing, eating and always had a big smile for everyone. Tony also loved children and loved to "spoil" them. He often thought that it showed what a soft heart he had. It started with his younger cousins, his niece, nephew, grandson and recently his great nephew. Often buying them small gifts which brought joy to both him and the children. That led him to his love and collection of anything Monkey's.
He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Moe and Margaret Arellanes, Richard (Dick) and Marjorie Lawrence and Theodore (Ted) Sr. and Margaret (Maggie) Miranda. His sister Lisa Arellanes, his son Jospeh McCafferty, "Mother"-in-law Dollie Surigao, and Brother-in-law Vince Surigao.
He is survived by his Loving wife Vicky, of Cabazon. Mother and Dad Karen and Ted, Jr. Miranda, of Banning and Father Tony Arellanes of Cherry Valley. Grandson Jospeh McCafferty, Brothers Teddy Miranda,III and James Miranda. Niece Selena Miranda, nephew Teddy Miranda,IV and great nephew Teddy Miranda,V. His uncles and Aunts, Sammy Arellanes, Craig (Mary) Lawrence, Ginger (Bob) Wall, Ernie Miranda, Mike (Tracy) Mirada, Doreen Reynolds, Maria Miranda, Randy Miranda and Chris Miranda. Brother-in-laws John, Stev and Jimmy Surigao and many cousins and friends.
