Lynette Marissa Arellanes will be remembered as a charismatic and kind hearted mother, daughter, sibling, friend and caregiver by all who knew her. She left this world too soon on October 7, 2024 at her home, in Las Vegas, New Mexico.
Lynette was born on November 17, 1979 to Carla Gallegos (deceased) and Philip Arellenes and was sister to Ashley Arellanes, Philip Arellanes and Lindsay Cavazos. She had an endearing relationship with her grandfather Carlos Gallegos Sr. (deceased)
She attended Robertson High School in Las Vegas, NM after which she then attended Highlands University. Lynette met Christopher Bailey and together, they moved to Denver, CO where their beautiful daughter, Mia Cutie Bailey was born in October of 2004. Mia has been their entire world ever since. While motherhood was her primary focus, Lynette enjoyed her work and built a name for herself. Early in her career she worked for the Governor of New Mexico. While doing so, she took courses at Highlands University for graphic design. She then pursued a career in Denver, CO where she designed the floor plans for fire systems in commercial buildings with Metro Fire Alarms.
Lynette was a compassionate person and very headstrong. While in high school she was a part of the cheerleading team and a member of the volleyball team. She was confident in every room she entered. She enjoyed listening to music, caring for her family and friends, and was never far away when a gentle ear or kind heart was needed. Lynette spent her finals years with her loving and supportive partner, Jesse.
Lynette did not walk this earth for nearly as long as she should have and her absence will be felt deeply for all those who survive her.
