Anthony S. Cincotta, 93
Of Hollywood, FL passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 10, 2024, in the company of his loving daughters and granddaughter.
Born on December 26, 1930 on the island of Filicudi, off the tip of Sicily. He was the beloved son of the late Salvatore Cincotta and Marianne (Conti) Cincotta.
Anthony graduated from high school in Italy before immigrating to America with his family at the age of 16. He worked hard to help support his family while attending night school to learn the English language. "Tony" was employed as a machinist with the Raytheon Corporation until his retirement.
He was the beloved brother to 6 siblings, father to 6 children, grandfather to 15, great grandfather to 7, and surrogate grandfather and stepfather to many others. He was also an uncle, godfather and friend to many.
Tony was happiest when surrounded by friends and family. He loved to bowl, golf, fish, play a good game of rummikub, gin or cribbage, while reminiscing about the good old days. His stories of life on the island of Filicudi will forever be ingrained in our memories. Tony loved to sing and play the mandolin. He performed in numerous minstrel shows and was always the life of the party on every cruise he ever went on. He loved to relax and listen to his Italian music while singing along.
Tony was predeceased by his parents, Salvatore and Marianne Cincotta, his siblings, Angelina Erba, Steven Cincotta, Joseph Cincotta, Silvio Cincotta, Yolanda Santolucito and Amalia Orsogna; the mother of his children, Mary (Montesanti) Cincotta, and his son, Salvatore Cincotta.
He is survived by his son, Frank Cincotta (Kathy Cincotta) of N. Grafton, Ma, his daughters Toni Cincotta of Buzzards Bay, MA, Marianne Cincotta of E. Wareham, MA, Linda Meadows of Milford, MA, and Maria Cincotta of Wareham, Ma. He is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and his long-time companion, Carmella Sclafani and her children and grandchildren.
Tony will be greatly missed by his family and friends but will live on in our hearts until we meet again.
Those who wish to pay their respects to Tony and his family may do so in the Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home, 773 Moody Street WALTHAM on Sunday, August 18th from 2pm to 6pm.
Family and friends are welcome to gather and celebrate Tony's life and remember the love and friendship he shared with others on Monday morning, August 19th at 10am at the Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham at 11am. We will then gather at the Calvary Street Cemetery to lay Tony in his final resting place.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his son's honor to Compassionate Care ALS, Falmouth P.O. Box 1052 West Falmouth, MA 02574.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always, Tony. I´ll always remember you with my mom on the beach in Florida, under your beach tent and down the Cape picking tomatoes from your garden
