Anthony Colavito Obituary
Anthony was born on November 6, 1942 in the Bronx, New York, to the late Mary and Rocco Colavito. Anthony was deeply loved by all that knew him. He was best known for his humor, kindness and loyalty. Anthony proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Reserves. He worked for Tishman Construction Corp. for 40 years, before retiring. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and most of all riding his bike in Cape May.
Anthony is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 62 years, Annette Colavito; his daughter, Debra and her husband, Al; son, Anthony and his wife, Mickie and daughter, Suzanne and her husband, Gianpaolo; grandchildren, Alexandra, Kristen and her husband, Nick, Nicholas, Michael, Steven, Anthony, Matthew, and Daniela; brothers, Frank and his wife, Anna and William and his wife, Pat. He was predeceased by his sister, Sarah. Anthony also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. His passing will leave a void in the lives of those who knew him but his memory will live on through the shared stories and laughter that he brought into our lives.
The family will be present on Friday, December 19, 2025 from 3 to 8 PM at Ruggiero & Sons, Inc. Funeral Home - 732 Yonkers Avenue - Yonkers, NY 10704 (914) 375-1400. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 9:30 AM at St. John the Baptist Church - 670 Yonkers Avenue - Yonkers, NY 10704. A cremation will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider making a memorial donations in Anthony's memory to Rosary Hill Home - 600 Linda Avenue - Hawthorne, NY 10532 - (914) 769-0114
Please Note: All services will conclude at church on Saturday.
