Anthony Dekay Obituary
He was born May 18, 1954 in Sturgis, Michigan a son to Gerald & Delora (Godden) DeKay.
Tony was a lifelong Sturgis resident. On February 24, 1973 he married Stella Nolen in Sturgis.
He was a truck driver by trade. Tony was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Army serving during the Viet Nam War earning the rank of Corporal and was awarded the National defense Service Medal.
Tony loved fishing and hunting and enjoyed following NASCAR especially following the driving career of Kasey Kane #9. He also enjoyed watching professional wrestling.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Stella, 1 Daughter; Samantha (Bryan) Lane of Burr Oak, 1 Son; Leland DeKay of Sturgis, Parents; Gerald & Delora DeKay of Sturgis, 1 Sister; Kristine (Lonnie) Merrill of Toledo, Ohio, his dogs; Tiny and Taz and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Garland & Beatrice Godden and aunt; Mabel Randal.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at 1:00 P.M. Monday at the Rosenberg-Schipper Funeral Home of Sturgis. His son-in-law, Bryan Lane will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at the Sturgis Memorial Gardens in Sturgis where full military rites will be conferred by Captain John J. Kelley Post #1355 VFW and the U.S. Army Honor Guard.
Memorial donations would be appreciated to the family to help with expenses. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.

Tony , if I could go back and do it all over again I would with no problem.
I would Marry you all over again and I would have both of our loving kids Samantha and Leland again .
I would go back on the road with you like we done and have fun like we use to .
I know we had our up's and down's but every couple has them ...
